Welcome to the Online Research Database Service (ORDS)

The Online Research Database Service (ORDS) was an online relational database system for researchers. It offered secure database hosting, sharing, and editing interfaces.

From 1 June 2017, the ORDS ceased to be supported by the University of Oxford.

University of Oxford researchers seeking alternative solutions for data storage, analysis, and sharing are encouraged to contact the IT Services Research Support team, who will be happy to discuss their requirements.

The code underlying the ORDS has been further developed by Cetis LLP, resulting in the TrunkDB online database service, which can be used for many of the same purposes as ORDS.

An archived copy of the FAQs previously displayed on this page is available.
